Creag Mac Ranaich Route

  1. There is parking available both north and south of Lochan Lairig Cheile (NN 558 278)
  2. Cross the old railway bridge south of the lochan (NN 562 274) and follow the edge of the woods up the hill
  3. Once past the woods, head roughly south-south-west by the stream until the ground levels out south-east of Meall Sgallachd
  4. Make your way over Meall Sgallachd and from there walk on round onto Creag Mac Ranaich
  5. The summit proper is a few metres south of the tall cairn
  6. Descend roughly north-north-east to the woods and from there back over the old railway bridge to the start
