Aonach Eagach Route

  1. Start from the path by the Allt-na-reigh (NN 176 566) and follow the obvious path all the way to the summit of Am Bodach
  2. The descent off Am Bodach is pretty steep but not difficult so climb down and follow the ridge to Meall Dearg
  3. From there, scramble your way along the ridge. The best of it is over by the time you start the ascent of Stob Coire Leith
  4. From Stob Coire Leith you have any easy climb up to Sgorr nam Fiannaidh
  5. From Fiannaidh, drop to the col on the way to Sgorr na Ciche (the Pap of Glencoe) and follow the path back down to the road.
  6. You have a long walk back to the start point from here unless you arrange transport!
