Broad Law Route

  1. Park at the Crook Inn on the A701 between Edinburgh and Moffat (NN 111 264)
  2. Set off south down the road for about 300 metres and cross the bridge to Hearthstane
  3. Follow the obvious track through the farm and then alongside Hearthstane Burn, onto open hillside and to the summit
  4. Descend roughly south to the road and the Megget Stone (NN 151 203) and then walk to Tweedsmuir by the Talla Reservoir
  5. Turn right at the crossroads in Tweedsmuir to walk past Tweedsmuir Parish Kirk and over the bridge (NN 105 251) back to the Crook Inn
