Buachaille Etive Beag Route

  1. Park in the layby at the top of the Lairig Eilde (NN 187 563)
  2. Follow the path south through the pass for about four kilometres then cut across onto Stob Dubh to intersect the south-west ridge
  3. Between you and the summit is an unrelentingly steep slope covered in loose rock. Enjoy.
  4. From the summit of Stob Dubh just follow the ridge to the bealach and then follow the path up Stob Coire Raineach
  5. Continue over Stob Coire Raineach to Stob nan Cabar for the excellent view down into Glencoe then retrace your steps back over Stob Coire Raineach to the bealach
  6. Follow the path from the bealach back down into the Lairig Eilde and back to the start
