The Mamores Route

  1. Start at the top Glen Nevis car park (NN 168 691) and head east up Glen Nevis, crossing the river after about 5 kilometres to climb to the summit of Binnein Beag
  2. Drop south-west off Binnein Beag, past the lochan, and follow the path that leads south to Coire an Lochain and the bottom of Sgurr Eilde Mor. Follow the path up Sgurr Eilde Mor and then return by the same route to the lochan
  3. From there, there is a path that zig-zags up the side of Sgor Eilde Beag to the col (NN 217 653). Head past the 1062 metre top and onto Binnein Mor then return over the top and up Na Gruagaichean.
  4. Follow the path around the side of Stob Coire a' Chairn and head over An Garbhanach to An Gearanach and then return south to climb Stob Coire a' Chairn
  5. Climb over Am Bodach to Sgurr an Iubhair and head north over quite a few peaks to Sgurr a' Mhaim then return south and drop down to Lochan Coire nam Miseach
  6. Climb the east ridge of Stob Ban and then descend the north-west ridge to the broad slopes of Mullach nan Coirean which meander westward over the 917 metre top to the summit
  7. Descend on the north-east ridge and follow the fence until you reach a stile into the woods. From there follow the boggy path to reach a forest road that will lead you back to the car park at Achriabhach (NN 145 683)
