Mamores Camping Trip

Went up into the Mamores for a wee camping trip on Friday. It turned out to be a nice night so I took some photos.

Let’s hear it for brevity!

Kinley reckons the hills at http://theboyhope.com/2008/august/mamores/5 are “Stob Choire Claurigh on the left then Stob Ban, the rounded lump in the fore is the SW ridge of Stob Ban, then the red topped hill is Stob Coire Easain.”

    I think he’s nailed it.

Wow – some views there – I got mostly cloud and rain up top, last time I was there.

Fab photos. Was last in the Mamores in 1993 in an August heatwave! Had to cadge some water off some lads on gearanach. Go to the spot (Eilde) you photographed, couldn’t face going up eilde or B Beag – so your photos bring back some memories! Absolutely exhausted having done the lot except for S Eilde/ B Beag. God, I want to get back there soon. Took my kids walking up Glen Nevis to Steall in 2005 – so hopefully, they will take up the challenge. The power of photographs….
